Google Ventures

Founded March of 2009, Google Ventures (GV) is broadly interested in startups in industries including consumer Internet, software, hardware, clean-tech, bio-tech, health care and others. Google Ventures aims to invest up to $200 million a year, with deal sizes ranging from seed investments as small as a hundred thousand dollars to late-stage investments of tens of millions of dollars. Google Ventures is limiting its investment activities to companies within North America at this time. The Partners consider a broad range of industries, including consumer Internet, software, hardware, clean-tech, bio-tech and health care. Google Ventures also plans to start an incubator program called Startup Lab where companies that are just getting started or building a presence in Silicon Valley can work, surrounded by other Google Ventures entrepreneurs.
