Sherpa Ventures
Sherpa Ventures is a VC firm headquartered in San Francisco, founded in 2013 by Scott Stanford and Shervin Pishevar. In July of 2014, Sherpa Ventures closed a $154 million Fund. According to Forbes, Sherpa will have an early-stage focus also including Series B rounds. Pishevar is a veteran of Menlo Ventures, where he led an early investment in Uber. The firm has an affiliated venture, Sherpa Foundry, led by Tina Sharkey, a well-known Silicon Valley investor and executive. She will be responsible for overall management and operations for Sherpa Foundry, including developing initiatives and leading relationships with its corporate partners/members, which have yet to be announced.
